Aurous Avatar and Silly Monks Entertainment enter into a Joint Venture


Aurous Avatar Entertainment partners with Silly Monks Entertainment to produce films in different languages.

Aurous Avatar Entertainment, a Mumbai based production house is now venturing into Telugu films with Silly Monks Entertainment Ltd.

Sanjay Reddy, founder and MD of Silly Monks is optimistic about this joint venture as this gives SMEL an opportunity to be a full-fledged film production house with marketing & distribution under their belt.

Aurous Avatar Entertainment, managed by partners Mr. Rupesh. H. Gugale (Jain) and Ms. Shubh Malhotra, made a mark with their first release "What about Savarkar?" in April, 2015. This joint venture is ready with its maiden release Ashwamedham. Apart from this, there are three upcoming productions, "Dipawali" in Telugu, "Nanhe Einstein" in Hindi and "Dadar 1992" in Marathi. The company has also released films in Marathi, Gujarati and English.

Silly Monks Entertainment Ltd, the first Digital Entertainment Company in India to go for IPO, reported a turnover of Rs.11.23 Crores in FY 2018-19 and Rs.8.50 Crores in FY 2017-18. The company further reported a consolidated growth of 34.58% in FY 2018-19 over FY 2017-18.

SMEL has offices in Hyderabad, Chennai and Kochi and recently added Bangalore and Mumbai to the list.
